Hey there! My name is Alyssa Marie MacKinnon, and I'm the girl behind the lens! I've been a photographer since I could walk and talk - just ask my parents, I was absolutely enthralled with our disposable film cameras and camcorders as a little girl! Over the last two decades, I've owned more cameras than pairs of shoes, and I spent the majority of my time annoying my friends by pointing one in their face. In 2017, I second shot my first wedding, and from then on I was hooked. I decided that summer that I would take my life-long hobby and turn it into my full-time career. 9 years later, I am more passionate about it now than I was on that day. I live to capture authentic memories for wildly in love couples who want to preserve their memories for generations to come.

Once you've decided that we're the right fit for each other, I will send you a contract, a questionnaire to get to know you better, an invoice where you can pay your deposit and view your remaining balance.

I will send you periodic emails/dms to book in your engagement shoot (if applicable) and gather information that may be missing from your questionnaire. I also like to just check in and tell you how excited I am getting for your big day, as well as share any inspo that might be applicable to you! As well, a couple weeks before your wedding, I will send you an email reminding you about your outstanding balance (if it has not already been paid).

How do we book you for our wedding?
It’s easy! Just fill out the inquiry form below with your details. Once we chat and confirm I’m the right fit for you, a signed contract and a retainer will secure your date on my calendar.
How long does it take to get our photos?
It depends on the type of shoot we have done! As a general rule, it takes me 2 to 4 weeks to turn around engagement, portrait and family photos. For weddings and elopements, I say approximately 4 months. It may be quicker if I don't have a long backlog of edits.

Absolutely! We can tailor a specific plan to your needs.
How do you ensure safekeeping of my photos?

Backups, backups and more backups!!! As soon as I get home from your shoot, I back up my photos onto an external hard drive, and then I back them up onto another one. I also keep your photos on my SD cards until I have finished editing your gallery (so that's three backups of your photos!!)
